In his 12 years in Tucson, Arizona, Peter pulled together a wide network of friends and associates. Many of them gathered February 20, 2011, at the home of Lowell Thomas to comfort each other and begin Peter’s farewell tour.
Peter’s cremated remains filled two urns. As his sister Linda said: there is plenty of him to go around. Family and friends spread the contents of one urn on the slopes of Mount Lemon, a spot with a spectacular view of Tucson and the Sonora desert. The other urn is destined for a special spot in Canada.

The first tour stop began the practice of laying out a memorabilia shrine to Peter. His old hockey sweater.

A Toronto Maple Leafs flag flew at the roof of Lowell's house. Lowell plans to fly each each February 1 to honor Peter and his unwavering support of the lowly Toronto Maple Leafs! |
